The EU is going to change tax laws for selling to EU member states starting from July 1st, 2021. The new rules require Pacer as an importer to complete the EU VAT registration and get its IOSS (Import One-Stop-Shop) number. Though we have begun the process months ago, it may take several more weeks due to the many businesses in line. Don't worry, you're still able to register virtual challenge with us as usual. Just a few things to keep in mind:
1.The following orders may take longer to ship due to the custom clearance procedure:
-All orders that have the newest Paris virtual challenge;
-Future orders starting from today until Pacer completes IOSS registration;
2 You will need to pay the VAT and usually a customs clearance fee charged by the carrier upon delivery.
Once the IOSS registration is completed, Pacer will collect the VAT right at checkout and pay to the TAX authority. By then you no longer need to pay any to the carrier and the shipping time will go back to normal.

What’s included in the cost?
The registration price includes access to the digital experience for your chosen challenge and the finisher medal. Note that additional tax may apply for some regions.
You don’t need to upgrade to Pacer Premium Membership as the registration code you purchased unlocks everything you need for the challenge. When you are prompted with the "Premium Upsell" screen, it's totally up to you whether to skip it or to upgrade.
How do I access the race once I've registered?
Upon completing your payment, you'll be sent an email containing your registration code(s) along with comprehensive instructions. Simply download the Pacer App, input your join code, and start enjoying your race.
How do Virtual Races work?
1.Register for the virtual race of your choice online and you will receive an email upon payment that includes your registration code and instructions.
2.Access the virtual race by inputting the code in the the Pacer app. Finish the required distance in a single session within the selected period and complete the race. You can record GPS activities and treadmill workouts using Pacer, or sync activities from connected devices / apps. You can also upload proof of your efforts and manually submit results in Pacer.
3.You can decide when you want us to ship your medals. You may choose "no completion, no medal", in which case we will not ship your medal until you have completed your race. Alternatively, you can also ask us to ship your medal at the first available time regardless of your race completion status. You may make your choice at registration checkout.
Do I have to complete the virtual race in one activity workout?
Yes. Working differently than the cumulative-distance challenges, virtual races ask the participants to finish the required distance with ONE single session. We will accept GPS-tracked activities recorded by the Pacer app or connected devices / apps. You may also upload proof of your efforts and manually submit results in Pacer.
How much time do I have to complete a virtual race?
You can complete a virtual race in any month of your choice. When you enter the registration code in the Pacer app, you will be given the option to choose a month in which you wish to complete the race. The registration code never expires. If you wish to change the race month, you can quit and rejoin before the race's end date.
How long does it take to receive my medal?
Medals will be sent out within a week after payment or race/challenge completion depending on which preference you selected at checkout. Once shipped, you will receive an email with tracking details. It usually takes 7-20 business days to deliver depending on your shipping address.
Which countries do you accept registration from?

How to submit my results?
There are 3 ways to submit your result to a virtual race.
1.Record and save a GPS-tracked activity using the Pacer app. Eligible activities will be automatically counted towards any active race. Supported activity types: walking, hiking, running, treadmill and biking.
2. Connect Pacer with 3rd party devices/apps. Use that device/app to record your activity, and your results will be automatically synced to Pacer. Currently, Pacer app can connect with Garmin, Fitbit, Samsung, Apple Watch, Apple Health Kit and GoogleFit.
3. You can also manually submit results in Pacer.
What types of exercise count?
All types of distance-based exercises can be counted towards the challenge: walking, running, cycling, kayaking, wheelchair, or any exercise you do. The Pacer app also allows you to manually input activities so you may convert any sports into distance-based activities.
I've submitted my results. Why am I not seeing my progress/rank?
1. You need to finish the required distance in ONE single session to complete a virtual race. Make sure that the result you submitted meets the requirement.
2. Note that Only activities started AFTER you join a virtual race will be counted towards the race. If you are manually submitting results in the Pacer app, make sure the "date and time" is not too early.
